Understand the specific business visions and the environment in which it evolves.
Evaluating situations, considering alternatives, making choices, and assuming actions.
Defing roadmap, scope, constraints, risk analysis, breakdown structure, and schedule.
Delegate and support team members and establish better metologies practices.
Promote and enhance transparency to stakeholders as well as inside the team members.
Mentoring team members to face their worries, learn more, and develop their skills.
The key is to assimilate correctly the real philosophical differences between the methods, and to not fall under the commercial names of their tools.
Waterfall, Spiral, or Agile. (ex. Scrum, Kanban, Merise, UP, RUP,...) Modeling languages, Boards, Charts, etc...
Modeling languages (ex. UML), Gantt, Boards, Burndowns, Burnups, Velocity charts
Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello, and others. Softwares are easy to learn as long as one understands the methods and tools.
